I have heard so much about people using jekyll that I did not know what all the fuss was about.
Jekyll is another blog type application like wordpress or joomla. The difference between this and other well known wordpress and joomla likes is that it has no database behind it. It is purely static webpages that you create and there is no need to update any software or plugins.
I have just started using it yesterday and it does take a bit to get the hang of it especially how everything works to configure a site and posts as everything is manual to setup. The great thing about it is, that you have so much control over what can be done! But once the base is setup, it just becomes seemless to do everything.
